The biggest attractions are out in the countryside
In the Land of Light you're always close to Mother Nature and surrounded by fresh air blown in from the sea. Recharge your batteries in the natural surroundings and forget for a moment the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
 Beaches: 200 km of beaches. The Land of Light is famous for its extensive coastline and the unique sandy beaches that encourage relaxed bathing in the summer but which also provide a great setting for different activities throughout the year.
Natural resorts: The Land of Light contains natural resorts that are quite unique to the region. These include the huge migrating sand dune at Råbjerg Mile; Grenen, where the seas meet at the region's northern tip; and more sand migration at Rubjerg Knude.
Nature tours: Take part in the many experiences that await you in nature in the region at any time of the year. If you wish to learn more about what you can see, you can participate in an organised tour. Or else you can strike out on your own by following one of the hiking routes or nature trails.

Wonderful summits
The Land of Light doesn't have any mountains in the literal sense. However, high points include Teglhøj (93 m above sea level), which lies east of Astrup near Sindal and Øksnebjerg (95 m above sea level), which lies between Sæby and Frederikshavn.
Despite the modest altitudes, you'll be met by the finest viewpoints and most beautiful panoramic views on your tour in the region.
The hills of Pikkerbakken near Frederikshavn, Gedebjerget near Sæby, Hjørring Bakker, Tornby Bjerg, Klangshøj near Lønstrup, Bålhøj near Sindal, and Flagbakken near Skagen are just a few of the examples of the great views that can be seen.
